weight vest is better, when weight is around your ankle, it pulls down on the knee joints and its not great for the knees. I have ankle weights and dont use them much bc of this

Assuming they're similar to the vest they sell, it'll work fine, just don't expect durability. Recommendation is to put weight bags into the thick ziplocks, as they tend to leak.

I'm paranoid the vest will bring down my shoulders and making me look like a pencil lol

I prefer ankles weights and dumbbells over weight vests.

I was going to do a weighted vest when I noticed that long term use of a weighted vest a reduce your height to do to pulling do on your spine. You do lose inches in height as you age due to gravity. Don't need additional weight vest to accelerate reducing your height.

What????? How long are you wearing this vest? So do heavier ppl spring more with age bc their upper body is heavier? Should we also never lift anything up? What about carrying stuff? The more I think, the more ridiculous what you stated sounds.

Thats not how the body works. If anything, use of a vest will strengthen your spine and surrounding muscles and give you better posture and more height

Just train as an astronaut and sign up for the monthlong missions, that should reverse it.

I stayed at a holiday inn last night so am qualified to speak here:

I'm debating this purchase for use stationary leg lifts and core engagement while on the ground. But I'm not sure 5lbs per leg is compelling enough as I'm about to eat Oreos and watch TV.

Never should you attempt to walk, much less run, with ankle or wrist weights. Not because you can't, but because the awkward imbalance will ruin your cadence and natural gait, and if you were to trip and fall, the location of weight would reduce your ability to save yourself and increase degree of injury to your appendages.

Punching or kicking with weights from a stable stance is another story but I don't fight.

For "cardio" a weighted vest is a god send and excellent for walking and with time learning to brace the straps with your hands and move with "double time" rhythm almost like a soldier can allow for quicker movements. Please do not ever run with weight.

I walk the dog for 2 miles and took this "downtime" to the next level by consistently wearing a weighted vest to see gains and impose the motto what ever is good for the dog is good for me.
