75" would be a better TV. It's the only size with ADS Pro panel and most dimming zones. All other sizes are VA panels with much less dimming zones. The 75" is $1098.

It's not a better tv. It's actually worse. Viewing angles are still not good and contrast takes a huge hit.

Anyways, get the 83" lg b4 instead if you have lg partner account unless you need the brightness of this set.

i personally purchased this few months ago. pictures are excellent however only at direct viewing as the moment you deviate a little the colors are pretty much muted and washed out. wish i had waited for the LG B4 deal as it's only 2" smaller and price is basically the same also nothing currently available to consumer compares to OLED and newer OLED models are much brighter with enough contrast and brightness for TVing around the clock. the only thing is OLED burn-in is still real, so if you watch a lot (big stretch here) of regular news channel or gaming that has the constant logo, you may want to consider a non-OLED panel to avoid the premature burn-in. i think LG may have a warranty against burn-in, however the moment that warranty is over is probably when the burn in kicks in lol.

I have been debating this as well. The b4 83inch is indeed a better TV overall. Have been waiting for the price to drop on that one but its still at 2000. Not sure how much is it with a partner account or how to even get a partner account.

This is a great deal. Bought this TV 2 months ago. I regret not waiting 2 months for it to go down $200. I paid $1800. Aside from that the new 2025 models specs look even better. The new U7 looks as good as the 2024 U8 and the new U8 looks like it matched TCLs QM8s brightness at 5000 nits. Both have screens capable of doing 165hz refresh rates. If I could return my TV I would probably pick up the 2025 U7 at $1900. The 2025 U8 for $700 more or $2600 seems steep for the minor differences it provides which is mainly brightness and 2 inches. Might as well buy a good 83" OLED at that price unless you absolutely need the brightness. Here is sample of my 2024 U8N

On paper it looks better than the 2024 U8N with the 165hz screen and same brightness. Not sure how everything else compares so probably a good idea to read some reviews and compare the 2 TVs in person.
