$10 cheaper through Amazon (seller BB) plus the extended warranty is cheaper too. 3yr for $40 vs BB is 2yr for $60 or $80 for 5yr. Not sure for a $300 tv warranty is a big deal for some people. There is 1yr manufacturer warranty.

If that matters to anyone….

Bought a Toshiba 43" C350 for around $149 about 4 or 5 years ago for my daughter and she loves it. They seem to offer a decent product at a decent price.

I don't see how anybody can tolerate having to navigate Amazon's convoluted OS everyday especially when its integrated into their TV.

It's Qled and local dimming so why not.

Who says they aren't just hooking up a Roku to it? That's pretty much how all my Amazon TVs are. So I totally get ya!

Of course. People have the option to connect a dongle to their TV. Case in point, my 55" TCL (which happens to be my daily driver) contains the Google TV OS that I don't even utilize (since I'm paranoid a/b "Chinese" Smart TVs [tomsguide.com] having backdoors that can phone home when connecting to the internet), but I have a firestick 4K Max connected to it which I barely use (I know the irony), however, the main purpose of my TV has been as a computer monitor which is connected to my main gaming PC.

Is this a good TV for outdoor use? Rting recommends Hisense U7N or U6N on the budget end, and I read this M550 is somewhere in the middle.

Would you choose this Toshiba over Insignia which has similar specs?

If it matters to you... the Toshiba has local dimming, while the Insignia does not.

Depends on how small you are talking about... 65" feels like a good size in my living room, but i am also sitting like 12' from the TV.

according to rtings.com you should have a 85" screen if you sit 12' away.

I sit about 8.5' from my 65" screen which is right in the recommended viewing distance for that size.screen

I am aware of the online recommendations and, while it varies a bit from source to source, I did not find myself enjoying the experience sitting that close. I also think having such a large tv in the current room would looks too goofy and dominates everything else.
