Actually yes.

2 Questions: is it safe to point this thing at your forehead? if so, do you think it would be more accurate than some of the budget forehead thermometers on the market? (i've had problems with them giving weird readings, either that or i'm a vampire)

I won a prize from them years ago and they never sent it to me and ignored my messages afterwards. Have had a low opinion of the company since.

Yes it's safe, just don't point it in the eyes. No idea about the 2nd question.

You cannot use this to determine the internal temperature of meats, this is only for external temperatures.

But for measuring the heat of the grill, yes.

I came here just for that, I need my grates to be 600 F before putting down the steaks for good marks 👌

Placed two orders, both were cancelled due to "technical issue".
Something went wrong here.

Project Farm on YouTube tested this infrared thermometer alongside several others, and this was one of the most inaccurate ones tested. Hard pass, thanks to science!

If it's a good one how come it's not sold on Amazon?

Ai: 1) Surface Temperature Measurement: Infrared thermometers measure the thermal radiation emitted from the surface of an object. This means they can provide surface temperature readings but do not penetrate the skin to measure core body temperature accurately.
Factors such as ambient temperature and the emissivity settings can significantly affect the accuracy of the readings.
2)Specific Design Issues: The ThermoPro infrared thermometers are not calibrated for human body temperature. Most medical guidelines recommend thermometers designed explicitly for clinical use, like digital oral or rectal thermometers, for taking body temperature
3) User Experience: Users have reported inconsistencies in readings from ThermoPro thermometers, particularly when used to measure body temperature. The variances can range from a few degrees to significant discrepancies, making it unsuitable for clinical or health-related checks

Are you referring to this video? If yes, then ThermaPro is actually second to LAST in the ranking out of the 15 thermometers tested, not the most accurate one in multiple tests. You can see the overall ranking at around 16:23 in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqUkxtUBG9M

Not sure if Project Farm tested the infrared temp gun that I've had for over 10 years, which is the Etekcity Model 774, but it's been consistently spot-on for temperature readings over its 10 year lifespan. It has amazed me right from the get-go and I've checked it numerous times over the years against a calibrated thermocouple setup.
Here's a link to it for reference: https://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-T...B0B71HFH9K
