Be aware that this ladder is actually only 11' tall, which may not be enough to get you to your first story gutters and isn't tall enough to safely access the roof of a typical US home.

How long would you recommend on those jobs?

How high are your gutters? Add about a foot to account for the lean angle of the ladder, another foot above the gutter to clean them or 2-3 feet to safely get on the roof.

I bought a 22' Werner telescoping ladder in 2012 for $129 and it's as good today as it was back then. It's very heavy even though it's aluminum, it's 42lbs, so I had to get a lightweight 8' ladder as well to do most jobs. But at 22' I remember it took just about every bit of it to get to the gutters on the second story of my house (just a typical 2-story house in any newer neighborhood). It could've gone a little bit longer, but when you're up that high you'll really appreciate that little bit of extra weight at the bottom, or using it to make the angle not quite as steep. Was able to set it up and move it myself, just starting with it on the ground and just walking it up the side of the house. Good part about the weight is that it's a tank, looks and works the same as 13 years ago. Hope that helps.

Have the same question, but I guess why not. But definitely looking for a longer one for a better price.

These are extremely heavy and very cumbersome to use when trying to use this as an extension ladder.

I purchased this ladder when it was also FP last weekend, and it's great! Super light (unlike the Little Giant ones) and feels very durable. The different combinations/configurations are helpful. I was able to use this to clear out the first level gutters and felt safe extending it to the full 14'. I haven't tried this yet, but from looking at YouTube, you can separate this ladder to two smaller ladders, and put a board in-between so it is a little scaffolding platform too

Maximum length is 11 feet, not 14 feet. Definitrly enough for ground floor gutters, though 👍

Not if you have high ceilings, tall floor trusses, a lot of exposed foundation, or a yard that slopes away from the house.
