This stuffs actually really tasty, but for all that is holy, avoid the hell out of the spicy tomato soup, it tastes like spicy garbage water with a few rotten tomatoes thrown in.

but this one is one of the best store bought soups I've had

The regular version is heavenly, but incredibly high in sodium. I'm very curious to see how this lower d sodium version tastes. I wonder if they compensate with the salt substitute, potassium chloride, as most low sodium soups do. It's one of the few substitutes that doctors actually like. In fact, the FDA encourages manufacturers to use it. Not only does it lower sodium levels, it also increases potassium, which we can all use (potassium increases the excretion of sodium in the urine). The problem is that potassium chloride may impart a metallic taste. If they don't use potassium chloride, I wonder how they compensate for the lower sodium.

UPDATE: Nope, no potassium chloride. I'm guessing they compensated with more seasoning (minus salt) and it won't taste as good. If it sucks, I'll just add salt. Salt makes everything taste better! 🤪

Ordered this because I've tried it in the past and really liked it.
Their butternut squash soup is a little more ($3 after 25%off coupon) but I'm ordering it as well because I really liked it.
In the past they've been very generous with their coupons on Amazon deals.

I ordered one broth to try. Does being free range actually make the broth taste better or is it more about animal rights? Does the additional exercise, for example, make the chicken meat taste more gamey?

I first tried this few months ago when the deal wad listed here but for $1.xx just because it wad deeply discounted and wad organic (I don't normally buy processed or packaged food). But, this wad incredibly delicious. I couldn't believe these processed food would be so delicious and authentic. At whole food it is some 4.xx and this wad cost prohibitive. I then found these at DT for 1.25 each and grabbed quote a few. Not sure if they were low sodium variety but just as good. The only thing they were at DT because they were expiring in 4 months or so (April/May this year). If you can find some at DT, grab these there. Keep in mind DT is n9 l9nger a simple $1/1.25 store any more. After adding $3/$5 items year or two ago, now they have some random items $1.5, 1.75, $4 etc. And the tarriff wave hasn't even hit yet. Bad days are ahead. Folks!
