This set contains multiples of the most commonly used bits, which should last quite a few years. If the "Quad edge tip" performances notably better than regular bit, this set may be a good purchase.
Even just for basic drywall and pilot hole drilling. They work, but I find mt DeWalt and Bosch comparable bits to be much better.

These bits are straight up junk.
I've bought a lot of bits over the years and these are amongst some of the worst.
Very brittle, the "titanium" is no more than a decorative coating.
There are other impact drive drillbits out there that are far superior.

Feel free to drop a link 😉
I see this as a good set for beginners or first-time homeowners to learn the technique, get a feel on heat control, break some bits along the way, and maybe even learn how to do drill bit sharpening. Given the best drill bit in the world, an inexperienced person will still ruin their first few bits all the same.

I have the same makita set, and it is excellent. I bought it in August of 2019 (I just checked my amazon purchase history), and I just barely replaced the set last month. Excellent value!
My one complaint is that the bits sit super tight in the holders, so you will want to loosen them up a tad by drilling them out.

Agree
Yes, it's for the ease of being able to pop it in to your impact driver, and drill a hole. That way you don't need to carry around a whole separate drill.

Pls provide some pointers to ones you like.
