There should be some law that if you signed up to receive device credits , your plan pricing cannot go up or they pay the credits even if you leave. Last 2-3 months they gave out all these device "deals" and then jacked up the price on plans.
Agreed 100%. I did the iPhone deal and upgraded 4 lines and a week later they texted me that they are increasing price by $5 per line. Dick move by T-Mobile.

How do you order from costco? Can it be online, or does it have to be in person?

In person or call the Tmobile Costco line

If you do it in store, be sure that your local Costco sells Tmobile service. Not all of them do

T-mobile is offering Moto Edge 2024 free via 24 monthly bill credits [t-mobile.com] when you trade-in any device, including broken ones. OFFER ID R153, Smartphone Trade ID250338. Just pay tax. Details say most plans, try test ordering online first to see if T-mobile.com offers you the promotion before asking if it works for your plan. Max is 4 per account.

If you order from Costco or Sam's Club kiosk or phone CSR, the $35 DCC is waived and you get the store's GC. For Costco, it's $100 GC, so this is a money maker. Don't know exactly how much Sam's Club offers, may be $75.

This is solid mid-tier phone, only downside is Moto software support sucks so updates will end in a year.

Verify with T-mo, but I'm pretty sure that you need to have at least some way to confirm the IMEI. So if it doesn't power up, is the IMEI in the battery cavity, assuming it has a swappable battery?

Also, I'm not sure why you're bummed about the "upgrade a line or new line" situation. That's the idea behind these "free" phone deals. They get you committed for 2 years. But anyway, yes, you definitely can get this deal, activate, and then swap your eSIM back to the s25 Ultra.

There is no requirement to use the Moto as your daily driver. T-mo has what it wants: you locked in for the next 2 years. You can put your eSIM in whatever phone you want.

promo states any condition will work. However, you will need the imei # of that defected phone.

I thought it was just a trade in and able to keep your plan.

Apologies in advance for my lack of information, this is a device permanently locked to TMobile and one has to pay the full cost of the phone upfront and then get monthly credits for next 24 months on the expensive TMobile plans. Is this understanding correct?
