I paid $150 for this tool after the holidays. At least one store near me still has a few of these in stock at that price. There are no other brand name cordless brad nailers that come anywhere near this price point. This is an excellent tool. Does everything I need it to do, and super easy to dial in the brad depth. I'm hoping they get a finish nailer down to this price next.

This one's been at this price or lower at Amazon for most of this year (but not now), see (camel entry for NT1850DG)
MetaboHPT has two cordless brad nailers. This is the cheaper spring-powered one. The NT1850DF is their more pro-grade one with a built in air compressor and is usually >200$, Lowes had it for $180 like a week ago but it almost never goes that low. MHPT also has pneumatic nailers that go on sale around $35 reasonably often.

This is a brushed model or otherwise low end model. The brushless / high end does 1,300 nails per charge vs the one in this post does 700 nails per charge.

Ryobi brushless nailers are pretty good actually and you can get them for about this price fyi.

Even dewalt fanbois will compliment ryboi nailers

Bought this earlier this year for about same price. No complaints and wouldn't spend the money for the brushless version as long as this one was available for a good discount.

Forgive my ignorance, but what would be the difference between this model and a finish nailer you're referring to? Looking to get my first nailer and already have a Metabo HPT combo kit, so this would be compatible with that.

You have finish nailers, brand nailers, pin nailers, and crown staplers. Finish nails are 15-16 gauge (bigger) brad nails are smaller (18ga) , pin nails are even smaller. The nailers are specific to the diameter of nail, although they can use different lengths. Staples are staplers but some nailers can double as staplers.
If you're doing woodworking and need nails to hold something together while gluing, or you're doing some light trim repair in your house, a brad nailer is a good start.

A finish nailer actually uses a larger guage nail. Brad nails are for light duty tasks, like supplementing a glued joint. Probably ok with things like base boards. Finish nailers can be used for outdoor trim like you see around a window.

Well that's good to know. Especially since I am a huge DeWalt fanboy. I don't own any Ryobi tools, but their grinder and car polisher are on my radar. I suppose I could add a nailer to the list as well.

Yes Ryobi is pretty light and good no misfires for all-around the house jobs. You can get an adapter from dewalt battery if needed

I bet here will be some good father's day deals coming soon. I have a ryobi brushless brad nailer and it is pretty good.

Nothing beats that Ridgid 3 tool and air compressor combo deal tho, that set is insane when it goes on sale for $200
