This constantly goes for $15…

I got it for $8 on Amazon back in February. THAT was a deal.

Anyway, sweet product to have on your keychains

That was pre tariff times. I know reddit flashlight enthusiasts have been cursing our illustrious leader for some time now.

I brought it up because that was a specific industry thing. Apparently all the cheap powerful flashlights were getting bought straight from China or so the enthusiast community tells me. Granted they also pretty much hate Olight.

You know when your one kid does something wrong and you call them out and they try to bring up something unrelated about their sibling to take the focus off of them.

50 lumens seems low. What is the use case for this?

Its not that low when youre in the dark. I keep mine on my keychain and its been pretty handy. I use this instead of taking out my phone and the magnetic base is pretty neat.

I got it for $13 a few weeks back btw

Is this really the equivalent of a 3 watt light bulb? That's the conversion I get 50 lumens to watts.

How sturdy is the attachment point? It looks like it hooks into the hole of the USB charger part, and that seems like a massive point of failure.

I've been pleasantly surprised with it. I, too, thought that it may be problematic but, it's been on my keychain for a few months now - zero problems.

For $15, it gets a 'buy' rating from me... It's handy and I love the simplicity to turn it on. The magnetic base is plenty strong to hold the light.

What's the point of having a bright flashlight when it's at home, in your car glove box, elsewhere, etc. This one is small enough that it's not bothersome having it with your Keychain. Therefore it's more useful than a bright flashlight that isn't with you when you need it.
The design is also nice. Separate it from the base and it auto turns on. Magnetic backing.
Don't forget there's a small carabiner included. Almost threw away the packaging with the carabiner in it.

Nice flashlight. But a little too big for keychains I think.

I wouldn't bother with Anything lower than 100~ lumens. It'll just annoy.
At minimum https://safetyawardstore.com/prod...light.html
Dirt-cheap, LR44 batteries cheap, solid metal build head to tail, and nice concentrated beam.
Beam is bright enough to dazzle pointed right at someone's eyes, good enough to light up and ID things nearby - eg from head of garage looking at tail end of garage.
Obviously different use cases vs a 500+ lumen, heavier/bigger/costlier flashlight like the Nitecore Tini 2.
https://nitecorestore.com/product...flashlight
I'd rather buy a handful of $2~ LR44 lights like I noted, a pack of lr44, and stash them everywhere - each room, car, keychain, etc. Or rechargeable? Standard 500+ lumen tactical light or a Tini so I don't get annoyed wasting money on a puny 50 lumen that's underpowered for defense, id, dazzling, car repairs, hiking, etc.

I get your point about not having a light when you need it. But most people have cell phone with flash light built in and most people keep their phone with them all the time. I was just wondering if this serve any special function that I am not aware of. Is it more hassle to have one more thing that you have to charged?
