It's slim and suitable for light work or confined spaces. However, it has only 4 horsepower less compared to the 9-gallon model and lacks the lower water drain hole, necessitating manual lifting for water pouring.

After wrestling with a 12 gal Ridgid for the last 10 yrs that is impossible to store, ear shreddingly loud, and haplessly determined to get jammed in each and every doorway it attempts to pass through, I'm ok with that. Wink

btw - the reason I posted this deal was because I couldn't find it anything near this price anywhere else (the closest I could find was ebay for 99). Is this a sale or otherwise?

Just recently bought the 12 gallon version and couldn't believe how quiet it is. I thought it was broken when I first flipped the power switch.

Gotcha. So comparing the CFM between the two, the 9 gal comes out roughly 6% more powerful. I mean, that is slightly better, but I'm really digging the idea of a smaller footprint.

The 12 gallon also jumps up to the 2.5 inch hose vs the smaller diameter for the 6&9 if that matters to you.

I can relate. I originally bought a Ridged and I got the 12 gallon when the 14 was on sale for the same price. But it's a fatty so I went with the 12. Then I changed my mind and went stealthsonic for a more quiet one.

One less horsepower on the 6 gallon vs 9 and I was hesitant on performance since it's a quieter vac. I'd prefer the smaller footprint as well. But it's a great shop vac, not gonna worry about it.

i don't know if it's for sure a "slick" deal - that's why I kind of posed it as a question. I myself need a new one, and this price is literally half of what Amazon is asking and equal to other 6gal "deals" that don't have the quiet feature. You say this is 80 year round?
