The batteries are DCB205s. They were labeled as XR up until 2024, but don't have that moniker for newer batteries. Regardless of the marketing, they have 10 Samsung 25R 18650 cells configures as two rows (parallel) of five cells (series), giving them a maximum current output of 40A. That puts them above any of the compact batteries (including the 1.7Ah POWERSTACK) for output, but towards the bottom of the larger batteries.

Very reputable, here in California they have several locations, you haven't heard of them because most of their business is with the trades. I've ordered and picked up parts for air conditioning repair and other mechanical parts for over 40 years.
Just ordered, though not certain what batteries I'm getting. Main pic shows XR, but other pics and desc show MAX. My very limited understanding is the MAX line is a generation behind XR, so they'll probably be less runtime. But the other question I have is whether the older generation means they were manufactured earlier. Guess I'll find out. Still, regardless of battery, 2x5AH for $100 is a good deal (and the charger is gravy), so I bit after thinking about it for a few hours. Oh, and the 1104 charger is pretty decent - 4AH means theoretically one of these 5AH batteries, fully discharged, should charge in a bit over an hour. Pretty nice.
Oh, one other point - Fasteners is legit - and I've ordered from them before - but I don't think they're an authorized DeWalt retailer, unless they're somehow not on DeWalt's "buy online" options. Not sure what that might mean, if anything.

Awesome, thnx OP. Got hedge trimmer 20max as well. Does anyone know how fast they ship ?
You ordered early enough today that they will normally ship same day. If not, they normally ship on the next business day (i.e., Monday). Shipping (at least to my location) is by UPS Ground.

Thanks for the clarification! I was confused by the lack of "XR" making it look similar to the previous generation, and I still have no idea why there would be pictures of the batteries both with and without it, but your explanations makes sense. And I see Fasteners, Inc is listed as a physical store, not online. Thanks again!
