mince some garlic , no measuring need but get a bunch of that shit , throw some oil (pref Avacado but veg oil works as well) in a pan and fry up that garlic, add Italian seasoning ( less than a tea spoon to taste) once browned add 1.5 cups cream and 2 cups fresh grated parmesan. swap out equal parts mozzarella / asiago / cheddar, / provolone / raclette( also that combination makes a killer mac and cheese. (lower the amount of cream to make mac and cheese)

There are some better deals on the 24 oz. jars of the red sauce.
FWIW, I am not a fan of their alfredo, but their red sauces will do in a pinch
Search for Prego and get the 24 oz jars for 2 bucks...

Even the Raos Alfredo sauce is terrible, compared to from-scratch cream sauce. I think you're right that the preservatives ruin the taste.
Not going to downvote this deal, it's a good deal if you like the product.
