I usually switch mine to a good ziplock bag once I open them.
That's what I do (with all of these leaking bags). The plastic container with a screw top is a much better packaging option for these. It's likely that Costco, other warehouse clubs have these (and likely in plastic containers vs. these defective bags).
The price has been $17.19 (S&S) since I posted that. Sometimes, it's a regional thing. You lucked out, as they likely have more inventory in your region. Now you need to hope that they're not short-dated (which is fairly common with discounted food items from Amazon).

Good and gather is Target.
True....I get the two confused (as I purchase both "house brands"). It's actually "Great Value".

The problem is that, as usual, they packed it in a paper-thin plastic envelope and (also as usual) it was abused in shipping (via USPS)!
So much so, that it's a challenge to find actual "whole" cashews. It's mostly pieces of whole cashews! The usual disappointment with Amazon's poor shipping practices! Pulverized cashews isn't what I ordered, so it's unacceptable. I'd have no problem accepting a replacement, but they'll likely issue a refund. Chances are good that the replacement would be pulverized as well!🙄
