Might anyone who bought earlier want to provide a review?

I got a pair of these a year or two ago when they were $130 ish. They're nice. Easy to put together. Ended up giving one to my uncle and selling other to buddy at cost. For $170, I'd pass. Would rather go up a little in money and grab a HF cart with drawers. Assuming the wood top ain't a big factor for you

I feel like this would be nice for my Trager Ranger, is this the lowest these have been?

Seems like this is something that would have been $30 to $50 pre-pandemic.

Got the larger version when it was on here for approx. $110; Nov 2023... arrived damaged, called HD for replacement parts, was forwarded over to the original supplier, only received 1/2 of the damaged parts, was told the others weren't available. $12 partial refund from HD. I'm now using it to store tool batteries in the top and random stuff underneath.... for that price its good, told myself if the smaller one ever went on sale for a similar price I'd pick it up. Ordered this smaller one last time it was on here; a month ago,... arrived badly damaged. Only option was to return and reorder... had to repackage and bring to the store (pain in the a**) decided not worth reordering it at this price.

It works well as a 2nd or 3rd storage area with a work top; but honestly, not worth more than $100-125 in usefulness. Doesn't really have the space to attach stuff to the sides, the storage area is only accessible if the top is empty so you can lift it, they slap non-easily removable warning stickers on the front that rip when you try to remove them. Moral of the story... ordering large, bulky, lightweight tool chests will always arrived damaged.

Pros: The butcherblock work top is nice, the all black finish, the storage compartment is deep, and the locking wheels were the nicest I've seen on all the tool chests I've owned over the years.

Totally. Seems alright, but this costs them nothing, tariffs or not. Should be $70-80 or so, which is likely still a very healthy margin for HD.

For anyone whose never tracked some of their tool/tool storage related items, 40% off is what the real MSRP should be. (and even then, like with this, the "MSRP" listed is a complete fabrication. You need to manually track to see what they actually list the price at)

Never, ever pay full price unless for some reason you absolutely can't wait.

I just looked up the weight capacity and found it in the Q&A section on the HD website. HD employee responded it is 450 lbs. I was wondering if you could set a transmission on the cart to mate it to an engine dangling from an engine crane. Sounds like you could.
