I hold on to a monitor so long I'm wondering if it's worth going 4K just to be future proof. I can definitely tell the difference with my LED monitors. I know for 1440p OLED is a jump along with higher frame rates.

With the RWGB sub pixel layout text clarity is worse compared to standard LED monitors. If you're doing any thing other than gaming this monitor makes no sense to purchase. You can always adjust in game resolution to 2K on a 4K monitor. And eventually your GPU will handle 4K gaming (if not already) But this monitor will always be fuzzy compared to a decent one. Virtually no one benefits from 480hz compared to the many 120-165-240hz monitors out there. Paying a premium for an effectively worthless benefit of this monitor.

So WOLED is great for gaming but not so great for work since it has noticeable text clarity issues due to unusual subpixel layout. 1440p QD-OLED has much better text clarity but some people dislike it's magenta hue. 4k QD-OLED has x2.25 more pixels, no text clarity issues and therefore perfect for work however it requires a monster GPU to game in 4k or you can scale it down to 1080p. I have all 3 of them and I like 4k version more than others. Some people will argue that OLED isn't intended for work due to burn in but I care about my eyes burn in more than I care about monitor burn in, plus you get 3 years of burn in warranty anyway. Also this one (1440p LG) is obviously a king of refresh rate and deep black colors.
