Once you purchase (or if you already own it), you will have the option to pre-order the Switch 2 version for $10 via the Nintendo online store when logged into your My Nintendo account. Thanks! I already have Hogwarts on Switch and glad I can get the add on for $10 now. I had heard that we would have to buy again which was not going to happen.

So far it seems to work only if you own the digital edition, not physical.

Bought the digital about 10 minutes ago and I've been refreshing it's not changing 😢

Make sure you are signed into your Nintendo account so it can see you own the Switch 1 version. Also, make sure you aren't viewing the deluxe version (with DLC included) for Switch 2 because you only get the cheap upgrade for the same version you already own on Switch 1

They're servers are running slow. It took 20 minutes but worked

IT WORKS ON PHYSICAL!

Fire up your game while online and signed into your account.
Go to "Additional Content"
Click on the option "Activate Hogwarts Legacy Owner's Discount on Nintendo Switch 2"
Exit the game and let the download happen.
If you go back into the game, it'll have a new screen that says "Reward Unlocked" and tells you that you get a discounted rate. Click "claim reward".
Go back into the store - price should be $10.
