I got this second hand for about the same price on ebay, overall I think is a great value. It fits much looser than other performance like Mountain Hardwear Ghost whisperer I have. I just had to get a more budget bang for your buck jacket cuz I'm always so scared to rip that one 😂. I'm on the edge of buying this new one though and selling the used one! I likely will. I'm 6'2 220, usually we're an XL and waist/torso was a little large, sleeves were just a touch shorter than I like., and elastic a bit loose.

It's a lite down jacket, of course it's going to be thin. That's the whole point of using down.

What a roaring review of the Cirruslite not a lot of people will give since this jacket is one of EB's cheapest in price and quality.
Having said that,it's a reasonably functional jacket that used to be good in the past, but as all things go, has gone down in quality.
EB's First Ascent jackets might be the only good ones left.

I have no problem with thin down jackets for above-freezing conditions, but if the down looks much thinner in real life than the model photos, that is a problem.

I wouldn't buy any of the jackes from EB. Have 4 different kinds and have stopped buying them from last 4 years. Quality isn't great. Doesn't do much in the cold weather. And my biggest problem with them, they lose feathers from the stich line, makes the jackets look ugly & creates a mess around the house.

I paid the same for the non-hooded version of this jacket straight from the Eddie Bauer store. I returned it within the one year window allowed by Eddie Bauer due to questionable quality. For this price, it is still a good jacket comparable to what you might find from Costco's puffy jacket offerings. If you are looking for a quality jacket that will last you for years, look at Patagonia or Marmot and prepare to pay far more. This is neither a thumbs up or down thread, but be aware that Eddie Bauer is not the manufacturer it used to be in terms of quality and customer support. I used to be a regular Eddie Bauer customer and have not seen anything in the last few years that resembled the quality that they used to produce.
