You have this exact model? Don't you need the driver? I got this from last deal and couldn't get it to work until I downloaded the driver. According to the manual, you need the driver if you are not running Windows 10.

I don't have an iphone but I couldn't get it to work on my TV nor my Windows 7 PC until I downloaded the driver. Most likely you will need the driver. There is one for MacOS but I didn't see anything for iOS.
