I have this one. It's pretty good. I think a Beryl AX is a better solutions at a higher price point. The Opal is on it's way out but also cheaper. I paid 37.99 plus tax so this is not the lowest price, but it's not a bad price relative to the competition.
The big issue I have with it is that it comes with a power brick and uses a barrel connection for power. The Opal and Beryl both use USB-C and can be powered via a battery for several hours. I guess I could find a barrel to usb-c but I would have preferred a usb-c connection for convenience.
because it may matter to someone....
TP-Link 2.4g is wifi 4 while 5g is wifi 6.
Beryl AX both 2.4 and 5 are wifi 6.

not saying this is a bad deal - just pointing out something some may find important.

Yes the pix seem to show USB C power ... That's pretty good.
Though I prefer the GL iNet UI.

Very interesting considering it's explicitly showing and stating that it's powered by a USB-C PD connection... Both this version and the AX3000 (newer with VPN) are powered the same. Even the predecessor to this, the AC750 model was USB powered, though micro USB... My RAVpower FileHub travel router which is several years old is USB-C but it also has a built-in battery for portable use. I'm very curious about yours with a barrel plug power connection...

FYI, these devices (or a cheap modern android phone) can be used on a plane/cruise ship where you can pay for 1 device access and then share it with multiple devices. I find using a phone much easier as the battery is built in and you can access the splash page easily.

Picked one of these up a few months ago for about the same price or a little less. Used it traveling a time or two with family, it did work well to share the connection. Haven't really tinkered with any of the more advanced functionality.

I have a cheap GL.Inet Mango router I got for $17 and used iton the cruise with a power bank and lasted all day. When I tried with a spare phone it sucked the battery so fast and only lasted 45mins before dying. The router with battery pack lasted the entire 7 day cruise with a single charge on the 10kmAh pack.

Works like a charm
I use it with a Netgear 1200 cellular modem to watch a warehouse with TP link cameras.
