What are the chances they bring back the $80 or $100 five tool with two batteries deal?

I was lucky and got the USB-C 5 tool set for $75 at the end of January.

These 12V SKIL tools are very nice, and the USB-C batteries are a great plus.

I can't predict the future, but I've seen them popup at $75-$100 for the set a couple of times in the last few months.

I would check the item page every few days. I've found Lowes sometimes posts lower prices overnight that go back to regular pricing by the following morning, you may get lucky.

I saw this come through while I was out with family and tried to scoop it right quick while I was bbq'in (korean bbq time) and I had "availability issue' on like all the tools. Said "aw man" and moved on and enjoyed my huge ass meal with my fam.

Got home, farted around said "oh yeah" and was able to get the exact same order? No availability issue? I also thought it was pick up at store only but I was able to ship it to the house.
I've no experience with the 12v skil line, but they appear like they focus less on "power" but more on "nice to use."

Edit: I did the impact driver (ring light ring light ring light) and the circular saw because "car circ saw" sounds p cool.

Would the impact wrench (solo) and ratchet wrench (with the batteries) be a good deal and good enough for diy newcomer car things? I have ryobi 18v but would be fine getting skil for mostly car related work

I have the 12v ratchet and love it. I haven't tried the impact but it should be good enough for small fasteners on a vehicle. may or may not break lug nuts loose.

They are really powerful for 12v, the impact matches the gen 3 Milwaukee fuel. Great tools all around.

The impact and the ratchet are both really good. You'd have to have something really stuck for impact wrench to not get it, it's really powerful for a 12v impact.
Note that the impact driver or drill kits with 1 battery are 69.99 and also get you one of the same selection of tools. I wouldn't buy impact wrench solo, get a 2 battery kit with the ratchet free and pay another $10 over the cost of the impact wrench and get a drill or an impact driver and another battery with the impact wrench free.

I didn't really follow what you were saying there. But looking at the Lowe's 12V deals, I think the choice is basically between:
- 2 batteries and 1 tool for $80, or
- 2 tools and 1 battery for $70

Does that sound right?

You are correctamundo. Figure if I do the 2 tool deal I can just scoop another lil battery when the time comes. 12v batteries charge pretty quick.

Zero because that set had the old discontinued batteries with 1 standard USB port. The new batteries have type C.
