This one always confused me, it was huge for what is inside, they clearly have a design/thought to put in a MXM GPU in but looks like it never panned out and put it into production rather than redesigning it.

Barebone doesn't include windows. The versions with ram and ssd do.

Nvidia charges a ton for royalty fees, which Minisforum would ultimately have to pass down to the consumer, which would severely impact sales. I only see corporate type mini PCs using the MXM, like the advantech chassis. What IS surprising though is no thunderbolt on any of the USB-C ports, like the other poster mentioned, I think they would have had a lot more sales for being able to support high speed external devices and eGPUs.
