Had to check. You weren't kidding. That shit is wildly priced. Fortunately, it isn't connected to any trophies (if you're into that).

The pve mode called "Operations" is very replayable and is where you can level up and upgrade one of 6 different classes. 25 levels with perks to unlock at each level, plus you can prestige up to 4 times for a few additional perks. Cosmetic unlocks throughout the leveling, and all the DLC is cosmetics only.
The operations mode has 6 difficulties and is where you will need to "get good" in order to survive at the top 3 difficulties. This game has a combination of shooting and melee mechanics, Dark Souls X Gears of War X WWZ all smashed together vibes. Really fun once you learn how to mix it all together, really brings the Space Marine power fantasy to life.
Besides different classes that each have their own unique power perk, they all get access to a variety of guns and melee weapons that all each have their own level systems and perk unlocks.
On top of all this, a brand new horde mode is about to be announced at this week's Warhammer skulls event, and will be free and looks very promising from the leaks so far. Should be a sneak peak or trailer this week.
All in all I love this game way more than I thought I would and have sunk a few hundred hours in at this point.
Oh yeah, if you like to search every nook and cranny, this is your game!

My buddy plays on Xbox, and while they had a few hiccups at launch and immediately after a couple huge updates, those were quickly fixed and it runs flawlessly over the few hundred hours we played together. No crashing.
Yep we are on the 3rd free map, as well as multiple new enemies, bosses, and weapons. All for free. Horde mode is also nearly ready, will also be free. Love this dev!
Most likely the Steam version will be on sale soon too for the skulls event that is later this week.
Yep, and FYI to folks into cosmetics, there are a lot of unlocks just from playing, but the ultramarine champion cosmetics are only available if you buy the ultra version of the game, no way to buy separately or upgrade later in case having all that is important to you.

It will likely be a loooong while before it hits that price. If it looks good to you, just get it, it is worth. I look at game value more at a $/hour perspective, and at this point I am sitting at like 15¢ per hour. This game is much much better than the original, I played the heck out of that back in the day too.

There is an offline mode. It is better with humans to play with though. I imagine you will need a connection at least to update it though.
