Ingredients include chicory, acacia, canola oil. I've had some of their other products and they were disgusting. I'd rather drink gas station coffee from a sweaty shoe. I do not understand who buys this or what tragic accident stripped them of their taste buds. And the consistency is thick. Not creamy. More like a runny nose on a cold day. Just not quite as edible.

Although I have not had this flavor of LA Colombe, I DID purchase and consume a variety pack sold at bj's, which was quite tasty. For that reason, I had a SD alert set for La Columbe. Still too expensive for everyday consumption in my opinion considering only 11 ounce cans. I paid about $20 for 12 nine ounce cans. Still tasty.

I've tried both flavors. They're okay. I usually drink a starbucks espresso canned drink in the morinng. These aren't as good. The only flavor I like from this brand is Mocha. Oatmilk is average and vanilla is kind of nasty.

Actually, these taste pretty good. Got one recently from a promotion from Albertson's/Vons supermarkets.

What's wrong with canola oil? This is the third thread I've seen recently with people poopooing it but nobody has actually been able to vocalize why it's bad.

There's a recent thing about seed oils being bad. It's woo.

That said... Canola oil does not seem appealing in a drink!

Can you point to said thing? Everything I can find from relevant sources say canola oil is a healthy option.

A fair number of health influencers have been promoting a narrative that seed oils cause various health ailments. That's also why you may have seen an increase in people promoting usage of animal fats like tallow and bacon fat.

Is any of it backed up by actual science? Or is that unfashionable right now?

Canola oil is a highly processed oil refined at high temperatures and pressures, with solvents such as hexane. This oxidizes the fats which some research shows is carcinogenic and inflammatory. Canola is also high in Omega-6 fatty acids which aren't bad, but most Americans get too much of them. It's best to minimize canola oil and other seed oils. If you do have them, get the cold-pressed variants.
