I'm waiting for the class action lawsuit for 7Now's blatant overcharging of "sales tax" in the app. Every order is at least $3 too high in taxes for my state. Prepared, ready-to-eat foods like hot deli pizzas and wings are taxed at 7.75%, but groceries are only 3%. 7Now app calculates everything at around 8% even if it's a grocery item. Furthermore, it seems like they base sales tax on the MSRP price, not the sale price. Even though their pizzas almost never cost $10.99 because they are constantly $6.99 or less on sale, they are taxed at $10.99 price. So a $6.99 ready-to-bake pizza, which should be taxed $0.21, is actually taxed $0.85. While that might not seem like much, it adds up, and it's a 400% difference, not to mention sketchy legally. Furthermore, you're taxed on your subtotal before the $10 off $20 coupon. I'm lucky to save $5 using a $10 coupon. I'm pretty sure they're pocketing the tax difference.
