The pics make it look small, but the description lists it as a size 60, rated for 10 to 20 lb test, mentions catfish and stripers.

It may still be junk (I'm not sure), but it's definitely not tiny.

I've gotten to where I like to find good vintage reels, clean them up and fish with them rather than get some of the newer stuff. I love reels like the old Johnson Century like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/23610960...R66i5t3fZQ
With little effort you can have a reel that will last a long, long time, and a lot of the Zebco stuff now has so much plastic in them they won't last long. I don't think they're bad - just not as durable.

I've been doing the same. There are some good YouTube videos on how to rebuild them too. 2nd Chance Tackle is very good.

I just won two Johnson Century reels on ebay - one with a rod for $23 shipped and one by itself for $14 shipped. They'll probably last longer than I will.

Well, these sold out pretty quickly. When I think of Zebcos I think of cat fishing. These things get covered in slimy chicken livers, and they perform well.
