Got this about 2 weeks ago, great controller but ended up returning it because the button presses are just so dang loud. Think of it as a controller version of a mechanical keyboard, went with a Xbox controller instead

Its the new fad these days, tactile switches same ones used on most gaming mice. The only have tactitile switches on the LB, RB buttons. If you think this is loud the Razer Wolverine v3 has tactile switch on everything even the d-pad.

8BitDo makes wonderful controllers, but they have terrible and confusing naming schemes.

* 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller - This controller, meant for Windows/Android. Incidentally it's available cheaper in green [amazon.com] if you don't care about the color.
* 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller - A different controller [amazon.com], meant for Switch.

I have the white one. There are no rubber grips. The grip is textured onto the plastic. It is also more narrow than the xbox controller which I hate. Otherwise, it's a great controller.

The Pro 2 Bluetooth was recently listed here on sale and if you can get that at a good price it supports the most systems and has a bigger battery, plus there is an 8bitdo BT->USB A adapter v2 for even more support.

With any of these controllers you want to install their firmware updater, go to the about menu and enable beta updates, and update both the controller and the USB dongle if you buy that.

Not a good controller, it also does not work with macos if you care about that.
