Is this a good product if my dad is looking for something simple to take pictures with and doesn't want to use his phone with a selfie stick?

Not really. Because of the 360 nature, it involves framing and exporting. He could use it in single lens mode, but I think a GoPro would be better at that point.

I bought mine 3/25/25. Costco website says "For members other than resellers, purchases that reduce in price within 30 days of the date of purchase are eligible for a price adjustment. Products that have promotional item limits will be eligible up to the limit quantity." Did you call a rep for the return ?
