Try the one with the reversed handle. Better body mechanics
For example

Arrow Staple Gun

Arrow Nail Gun

Got this when it was on sale for $49.99

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../307627868

When it is on sale it's worth the extra cost if you got Ryobi batteries and do a lot of stapling. It is so much easier to set the pressure and squeeze the trigger to staple accurately than it is to push down and squeeze the handle of the spring loaded staple gun. Since I got the Ryobi I haven't used my manual staple gun since. If you got another brand I am sure any tool brand that offers an electric staple gun will provide the same difference which is night and day. Sorry I don't mean to rant on your thread. Just sharing my recent experience with staple guns. This is a pretty good price if anyone is looking to buy a manual staple gun for minor stapling.

that is light duty and only goes up to 3/8" while this is heavy duty and also has 1/2 and 9/16" not to mention that costs more.

Are these good enough to install wire mesh fencing onto wooden frames for an outdoor animal pen, or does that need something more heavy-duty like a pneumatic type of stapler?

It depends upon what animals you have! Is it a rhinoceros, an elephant, or a mouse? If you are housing mice, this stapler might work.

Ok, joking aside...

We ONLY use fence staples when installing fencing. If you are installing chicken wire, then a hand stapler will work.

Otherwise, go with fence staples!

Hope this helps!

was that on sale son of a.. I just bought one for $79 cause i had to put up a ton of insulation. It's a good staple gun drives the staples all the way in when other staple guns failed me!
