Just buy it, it's awesome. Bluetooth sync is fast and seamless on my iPhone - just expand the dock and slide in the phone - it automatically turns on and pairs by the time my phone is set in the dock. Controls feel really nice. Great battery life. I hear its amazing with a Switch, if you got lucky enough to score one from Costco. I don't know how/why people pay $150 for these things from other companies. Gamesir killed it.
I use mine for Steam Link when I want to game on the couch. I have a pretty robust home network, so even platforming games don't suffer from latency.

I loved my original G8 so much, I bought a second one, just in case.
Insane price, I've tried basically all the controllers for my spare phone and the G8 is by far the best and does not feel like a toy. Great grips, great d-pad, great buttons. Highly recommend! Bought a second one as well. I also have a g cloud for steam link but I am reluctant to use it since the G8 feels so much better.

I just received a competitor I bought called the Abxylute S9 yesterday and it looks like this would apply to the g8+ as well: look closely at the case on your phone and if there is a lip on the top or bottom, your phone might sit slightly higher on one side when sitting on in the controller (like 1mm). Just mind the tiny ledge you can see on one side, even outside the zone they put in for the camera bump. I had a cheapo case laying around to swap into that didn't have the same lip that was causing this issue that was on my dbrand grip case. Just thought I'd mention it if someone else has that case or similar.

Yes. You can even pop the telescoping piece apart (and back together easy, don't worry) and go wide to a pretty crazy degree.

As someone that doesn't keep up on mobile gaming much is there a lot on the android side game wise that would use something like this? I know we used to lag behind Apple in that aspect

How does this compare to the mobapad m6 hd? The price on this is nice. Would be using for switch oled gaming.

Edit: this doesn't have HD rumble and lower battery life but looks like a reasonable option.

Does anyone know if it can expand enough to hold a current iPad mini without needing any modifications?

Spec sheet says it expands to 215 mm max. I don't know your iPad measurements, but maybe?

Yes. I've got the A17 Pro mini and it will fit even with a thick case.

I got one from a last sale. How do you do this? Do you just pull them apart really hard?
