Dammit. I bought this about a month ago for a higher price at Amazon. Drilled about 90 1/4" holes 4 inches or so deep in concrete and it worked great for all the hand rail post flanges.

The Bosch is a better brand, but this Wen has better specs for about half the price: https://www.lowes.com/pd/WEN-12-A...1218097027
Looks like
Bosch is 1300 RPM and 5800 BPM and 2 ft lb (2.7 joules)
Wen is 900 RPM and 4300 BPM and 4 joules

So yeah, looks like Wen might be more powerful.

With the way SDS/rotary drills work (effectively chiseling the hard material away) the impact force isn't the only factor in how effective they are - 'beats per minute' is also major factor.
I'd also wager Bosch 'exaggerates' less on their specs.

This is a really good deal. Unfortunately I just bought a factory recertified one on eBay for $120 or so a few months back, which I thought was a good deal at the time (came with 3 year all state warranty at least)

To be honest though, since buying this I bought the Ridgid cordless rotary hammer and haven't even used this since then.

Specs aside, I have used both the Bosch and the WEN and they both seemed to hit with about the same force. The WEN has a hammer mechanism that requires periodic greasing.

Eventually, but it will take you a LONG time. You'd have to drill many holes in a row to weaken the concrete then crack it with a sledge hammer.

For concrete demo, you would really need a demolition jack hammer [amazon.com]

I believe I've used this Bosch before and it met all my needs. You've sold me over the Wen.

Overtime, the Bosch SDS drill leak out grease. And you will probably need to re grease it every few years depending on your usage.
