The tablet comes with Android 14 installed. The Android 16 is already released by Google. It will probably go from 14 to 16 some time next year. And that will be it.
This seems like a solid budget tablet, but in my research it seems that the G99 processor is the weak point. Most people say it works smoothly, the speakers are surprisingly good, and it works well for media consumption.
It has been sub $200 before, but I'm not sure that price will come back.
I'd be curious about Android OS updates for longevity.
My tab p12 came with Android 13 and was promised two updates. It has gotten those 2 updates and was updated to Android 15 in April or May. I don't expect any more OS updates, so would expect something similar for later tablets (2 updates, each probably rolling to the tablet out 6 or 7 months after the Google releases the update)
I got this from a BB deal awhile ago. The screen is HQ & speakers really pack a punch. There's a built in stand that I like. The build is sturdy, battery life substantial & charges type c to type c quite fast. I use this for videos & music so cannot comment about gaming or whatnot. The camera is pointless as most cell phones now have higher MP.
