If anyone is curious about how this works as a UPS, this video was pretty informative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkBZVDWnyOc

I have the normal version of this as a UPS on my networking equipment (NAS, router, switches). Power has gone out twice that I know of since I got it and it switched over without rebooting the NAS. Pulling ~90 w it estimated 3 hours hrs run time on the screen but the power came back after a hour each time. Definitely not a 'wait out the storm' power outage solution, but good if you deal with occasional brown outs or frequent hiccups in your grid power.

The normal River 3 Plus 286wh regularly goes on sale for $189 so this adds wireless charging capability/2 portable power banks + costco warranty for $30. I'll probably buy one next time Im in store for keeping in the mini van, mostly for the swappable power banks because the family likes playing Pokémon Go at the parks lol.

Is this cheaper in store by chance? I know sometimes it is but typically not by much.

You can check the in-store price using the Costco app if the item is in stock. It's the same price in my region.

any recommendation for a UPS solution for computer and networking gear as I'll get power flickers during storms.

I have the river 3 plus and connected my critical networking stuff to it like a UPS but the big issue i have is ecoflow screwed up the firmware update process. Instead of downloading the file locally or leaving AC working, they did neither. So if you run an update from the app it begins the process on the unit, then turns off AC which cuts power to all of your networking gear... which is a major problem because it's trying to stream down the firmware file. It will eventually fail the update, restart and you'll have to unplug everything and plug it into something else while you update the firmware. My new plan is to put the unit between my existing UPS and the wall because any time I have to run my generator during an outage the UPS freaks out and switches on/off because of the power quality. I'm hoping this will extend runtime, clean the power for the UPS and the UPS will keep things running while the firmware updates on this thing.

The cyberpower units from Costco work decently. Or you can get some from apc/vertiv, etc.

For old reliable, the CyberPower pure sine UPS's with the tried and true lead acid batteries.

I am switching to the EcoFlow units even though they have 'UPS use' flaws, hoping the units will truly last 10+ years without worrying about dead or dying lead acid batteries and having to change them every 3-5 years.

Check out my comment here and the response by AdriftAtlas using an AMETEK XG-PCS-15D... I ended up getting some of the AMETEK units and the cable hack to change the settings for low and high voltage cut-off and it seems to be working well so far.

It shows online price in Costco app same as on costco website, I verified it for some other item that in store price is lower than the price shown in app or website.
