Since when is 300m considered only for recreational swimming/showering and not diving? I understand that chronos and buttons are not great for diving, but come on. Granted almost everyone dives with a computer now, but before, the standard was 200m for all watches for recreational dives down to 90 feet w/o mixed gasses.

Exactly. Even 200m is usually considered adequate for diving even nowdays. That 300m rating is fake or meaningless if you can't safely dive with it, no other legitimate watch with that rating has such a disclaimer.

Ummm… if it's automatic, then it's mechanical. Mechanical = serviceable.
Unless if you know something I don't.
Not really. Invicta's are typically 48-60.
There are Omega Seamaster and some Planet Ocean that are 44.4 to 45. My daily is an Omega Speedmaster BroadArrow GMT in 44.25. I'm 5'7" 155lbs.

As for the OP 45.5 mm is way too large unless you have 8+ inch wrists which is very high on the bell curve for wrist size.
