I previously had the Q830C with the 9500 rear channels added. The 990D bar and sub sound more vibrant and rich from the front channels. But the 9500 rears are better than the Q990's rears. It's almost a tie the quality of the rear channels. The bar and sub definitely make up for the weaker rear channel. I'm happy with the purchase at $399. At the higher price, I'd only buy of I didn't have a system already. For those interested, I moved the 830C to the master bedroom.
It's back up to $1,400. That happens a lot with the Samsung EPP deals. They can fluctuate from day to day, and even throughout the day. Keep checking. I've seen it be $800 and then go to over a grand, then back down to $800 in the same day.
