This is the rtings. 7.5 on the old system. That is for a model that ending in 601C. This is 601A. Older revision perhaps?

I believe they're retail variants, sometimes with only different controllers. C - Walmart, A - Amazon, B - Best Buy.
Yes. With FireTV OS, you'll just need to turn on TV and then select LIVE TV.
You'll need to connect coaxial to OTA antenna.
The other option is selecting INPUT (HDMI, etc) for computer or XBOX or cable/sat box.
