I find that when playing sports where fast motion in involved (pickleball, golf, etc) that I can't pick up the ball well with polarized lenses. I'd start out with sunglasses on and then take them off because I just wasn't picking the ball in motion well. I switched to non-polarized lenses for sports and don't have that same experience - I can see the ball in motion no differently than with no glasses on at all, plus obviously the benefits of sunglasses. I have other polarized lenses I use for fishing, driving, and general wear. But for playing sports, non-polarized is a much better experience for me.

I've bought 4 or 5 pairs over the last couple years. They're legit.

Oakley makes good quality shades, but their polarized lenses are amazing. I love the ones I have with an amber tint.

There is most definitely a diference between the polaraized lenses of diferent manufacturers. This isn't like the brand name version of a drug vs. the generic version, where the generic has to be identical to the brand name.

Agreed, I was an Oakley exclusive for years, then realized how overpriced they were and just as fragile as the competition. Switched to shady rays and haven't looked back.

Also, non polarized? That's wild.

Lol, the two times I need the darkest polarized sunglasses I can get are to deal with snow blindness and sailing. That was in Wisconsin, and it was definitely worse than any time I've spent in the Caribbean.

As a private pilot, the glint coming off of another airplane when flying VFR can be really helpful to spot other traffic. Also, some of the older screens retrofitted to (previously) analog-instrumented aircraft didn't play well with polarization.

Jeez I can easily buy prescription polarized or non-polarized with frames of my choice from Zenni.for this price. And yes, many camera and instrument displays are not visible if they too have polarization 90 degrees out from your polarized eye ware and a good reason not to buy polarized.

Polarized lenses make some people a little dizzy (me).

Very good point. Though they're still great quality sunglasses, the very reason I don't wanna buy them is because the sunglass industry is being monopolized by Luxottica and Oakley is a parent company of Luxottica.

That's why I kinda settle for these Goodr, Tifosi or Knockaround brands.
