I mostly post Amazon and use ASINs to check past data.
I think some people prefer to shop on Amazon - so it helps to have Amazon price drop highlighted.
This can also be combined with recent rewards deals like this:

Price matching Microcenter, in my experience, is a crapshoot. I've been told everything from "it's an in-store sale so go to your local store and they should do it" to "we don't price match Microcenter". I'm happy for all it worked for, but it's not guaranteed unless, perhaps, you're more insistent or persistent than I am.

Why did you skip over the better front page deal price of $450 at microcenter which can be price matched at Best Buy ? With over 250+ likes https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/1103506And the other front page deal for the same price as this at bh photo ?https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/1111552But pasted front page deals that were a worse price

Better deal at AAFES if you can shop there. It's the same price but you save on the taxes. https://slickdeals.net/f/18378223-active-military-veterans-apple-mac-mini-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-with-m4-chip-469

To further solidify your response, I was looking around for a mac mini last night. Before I stumbled upon the amazon deal myself, I saw the same thing at B&H (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...256gb.html) and chose to continue looking around at amazon to not have to deal with the returns process at B&H (or mircrocenter).

So are these just not selling? 3 months ago these were being called the greatest deal ever and everyone will want one, at $600.

It'd be a better deal if they can add Dex equivalent to iPhone

Prices usually always drop as soon as the Apple summer education prices kick in. 3rd party retailers often match or beat those prices. The education sale started on Tuesday and immediately you can see sales on other Macs as well. Also, last few years, Apple seems to have changed tactics and probably providing better prices to 3rd parties, because sales of Apple products on Best Buy/Amazon/Costco/B&H have become decidedly better. At the same time Apple is scaling back their education discounts (this year's is the worst offer in their history).

Looking specifically at the Mac mini — This is still an excellent product and probably sells well. But Apple can't afford to keep street prices too high with all the miniPC sales. Granted those are much lower powered and not designed as well, but practically many users who are OS-agnostic are bound to ask themselves whether they need a $600 Mac mini for everyday browsing and light document/spreadsheet tasks when a $150-$300 miniPC option will often suffice. Again, I'm not saying the miniPC is a better product so don't want to start a debate on that front. Just that for better or worse, those cheaper options will get consideration when many are making a purchase decision. At some point the price difference cannot be ignored by many customers. So Apple has to reduce the street price on this product, which they do via aggressive 3rd party sales.

Exactly . No one has had a problem price matching Best Buy to micro center

And to be clear I wasn't saying buy at microcenter or Best Buy over this deal.

The poster literally skipped over the better priced options for his own benefit probably earns a commission on the link.

Poster should have listed all options and like other deals on here if something is the same price that link is normally added to the original post.

For instance if there is a deal at Amazon and Walmart matches it the Walmart link is added to the original post.

No reason this wasn't added to the bh deal and at bare minimum the better deals should have been mentioned in the description like the poster mentioned other deals that were more expensive

Makes no sense

You can get one w/ 8GB more of ram and 256GB more for $850. Not bad for $400 more for $35 in components.... This is what Apple does they sell a totally barebones machine that will be no good in 2 years, so you end up upgrading faster and the e-waste that this is goes into the landfill earlier since you can't upgrade anything. If you actually want a usable machine for 4-5 years (since you can't upgrade anything) they double or triple the price.

No kidding, especially since people have been running 8GB Mac Minis and MacBooks for years and are running them even now. This having double the RAM makes it plenty for years to come on OS X. The only other part you would want to upgrade really would be the drive, but since this has multiple Thunderbolt ports you can add one of the many M4 specific docks with NVME slots on Amazon and add 2TB or 4TB or whatever NVME. It will be fast enough for what you will do on the Mini anyway.Seems like someone that doesn't understand the device they are commenting on.
