This was a frontpage deal a couple times at $13.10 in the past. At $13.99 it's a bit higher, but still a pretty good deal for this relatively well made rechargeable headlight / right angle flashlight. While not really an enthusiast brand, I've been happy with the few modern Energizer LED flashlights I've bought in the past several years.

This one uses 2s CR123 batteries or rechargable Li-ion (18650?) it comes with. It's has 400 lumen high and 1000 lumen turbo modes (limited run time). I see mention of both Micro USB and USB C charging, but pretty sure it's just micro USB.

Listing currently says $16.45 is the regular price, but it's been at $20 or more regularly and occasionally even as much as $30 from Amazon a number of times in the last couple of years.

I bought this model a few years ago and my favorite headlight. Still going strong. Only complaint is it seems to take forever to charge. But last a decent while before charging again

Bought a couple of the black version of this back in 2022 for around the same price when they had all those Energizer 50% off coupons.

Great lights for the price. Note that these are very much a flood pattern. They don't seem as bright as other lights because they have basically no hot spot. However, that also means they have very little beam reach. They aren't going to light up the far side of a big yard. One other plus is these come with protected 18650 cells. A lot of cell included lights don't.

That is my recollection as well and that floody light is great for working on things. Hot spots can start becoming irritating and hurt your eyes when focusing on a particular spot to work. Floody beams I think are the much more versatile lights in general. If hiking or walking at not the distance thing is nice and sometimes needed but I find nice even floody light the more useful for more things. If you are in tent or at a campsite, crawling under car or in crawlspace or attic working it is what you want.

That being said do look at he HS21 I linked in an earlier post. You get a very bright, nice, no glare and even flood, a strong beam or both together along with red all in one light with very simple controls.

Consider using a standalone Li-ion charger for the 18650 battery. Still takes a while to charge it, but allows you to swap out an empty cell for a full one (if you buy extra) right away when needed.

I had these and they are sure not bad lights but when you can get some of the much higher end Sofirn or Wurkkos lights for not much more I have to pass. Think it a way better value to geta $30 to $60 light for $15 to $20 than the small discount on lower end light you get here. Some examples.https://slickdeals.net/f/18369901-sofirn-hs21-2000lm-usb-c-rechargeable-headlamp-w-infrared-switch-1...https://slickdeals.net/f/18384091-sofirn-h25lr-white-deep-red-led-rechargeable-headlamp-w-18650-batt...https://slickdeals.net/f/18351490-sofirn-hs10-headlamp-w-rechargeable-battery-13-80-free-s-h-on-29?s...
Some are too complicate to use with one button, some are heavier, some have rubber holder that's harder adjust than plastic.
Actually none of those are complicated. I'm far from big fan of complicated button presses. None of those lights run Anduril and have basic button controls just like the Energizer.

The HS21 is the easiest headlamp I have ever tried..No button presses at all to change modes you just spin a rotary switch. The button only controls power and works just like the button on the Energizer. It also has a plastic keyed and stepped holder that is very easy to adjust yet secure.

You are right some of the rubber ones can be a pain and take two hands to adjust but both the HS21 and H25 have plastic click style holder. The HS10 does have a rubber one but it is not particularly hard with it being such a tiny light

I hear you but you make in general generic complaints that do not apply to those particular lights.

I bought this a few years ago and it's been great for hikes. It'll adjust up and down. I keep it on medium and it lasts at least 1.5 hrs. I haven't had it on long enough to know how long it actually last.

I have a couple of these. They work well for what they are. One note, the rubber cover for the charge port is only held on by a little rubber string. After about a year, that string breaks and eventually you'll lose the cover. Light still works but any water/dust resistance is gone.
