This looks like a solid bundle, but how does the partner site thing actually work? Is it employee-only, or can anyone get in with a random link? Never used one of these before, so not sure how "YMMV" it really is.

I signed up with my employer email (I work for CVS). I think a lot of companies offer these types of benefits, at least larger corporations. I didnt even know if my employer would be included so I just tried signing up on the LG partner site and it worked thankfully. I think a lot of first responder type jobs, military, education type jobs are usually eligible too.

It is traditionally an employer or education benefit discount. But recently LG Partner Store opened up signups for Hulu subscribers as well which is weird but it worked for me so I am not complaining. Start a Hulu trial if you arent a sub already and then under perks (https://www.hulu.com/perks) use the LG Partner Store link to go sign up with the same email and you will have access to it.

Appreciate the info from both of you. I have Hulu, gonna try that route and see if it works. If it does, this deal's looking a lot more tempting.

I've had a recent bad experience with LG partner store: Bought a 77" C4 which had a defective screen. LG did not send a new TV and is dragging its feet (3-4 weeks) with using a local repairman to replace the screen. This is a great deal though!

How is the experience with the partner store if something goes wrong? I've seen a lot of bad reviews on their site for this TV mainly due CS related stuff.

Wild how quickly these fall in price. Just got a G4 last month from the partner store and it's wonderful. I will warn that the communication on the partner store is atrocious. Very hard to reach them

Looks like similar deal for the 83". $5669.99 vs the MSRP of $6499.99, same promo code for 10% so total is $5102.99, you also get the same soundbar and delivery/setup for free.
