Trisodium phosphate (TSP) is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Na 3PO 4. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water, producing an alkaline solution. TSP is used as a cleaning agent, builder, lubricant, food additive, stain remover, and degreaser. Safe in small quantities but can lead to kidney and other health issues.
If your kids like peanut butter this might be the healthiest option for them and they should still enjoy it, 4 pack for $20.

If it's due to sugar or something rather than a specific ingredient of Fruity Pebbles, it might be easier to just mix a different, healthier cereal with the pebbles to lower the pebble count. They'd just have to be accepting of the multiple cereal types, different flavors, etc.

This is too much to "process."

Ignore this guy, he's fearmongering out of sheer ignorance and parroting cherry-picked portions; Trisodium Phosphate is a PH balancer and is in such minuscule quantities in cereal it's negligible, the fact alone that he's comparing industrial grade TSP to food grade TSP speaks volumes; No one tell this guy about vinegar, he'll flip if he finds out Industrial-grade acetic acid is corrosive and can cause severe damage to the skin, eyes, etc. Upon contact.
Just to show you how little you really think you know directly from GM.
"Why do you use TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) in some of your cereals?
We appreciate your question. First, trisodium phosphate is a water-soluble salt that is used in a wide variety of food products. It is approved as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. We use small amounts of trisodium phosphate in some of our cereals to help improve the texture, making every bite crunchy and delicious."

Ironic you mention how little I know because the texture is improved because of the PH balancing, good lord do you even check before posting?
"Yep, but it makes the cereal crispy and crunchy too."
