I bought it a year ago when gyms were closed. It was a great alternative vs not moving at all.

But once gyms reopened I stopped playing the game. I've thought about getting back into it but I hate working out at home (I live with roommates so my ring fit activities were done in my bedroom).

If gyms aren't your thing, if you're worried about catching COVID, or are new to fitness and need a starting point, I highly recommend it (and to play most days)
I got it for christmas. I did the pre-test to determine your limits. I actually used all my strength for calibration. I was completely honest w everything. Then I chose the intense setting. It starts out slow because of adjusting to controls and gameplay. When I had to do the exercises my goal was to do everything to make the hair the gold flame which I believe is almost your max limit of pre-test. It was actually challenging and wore me out. I made it to the fit dragon on the first play through and got him down to a sliver of health before I ran out of steam and could not block his punch. Just like the gym it's only as good as the effort you put in it. But it will work you out if you go all in.
New year new price new me!

Fun little game, my kids got about an hour of use out of it, but haven't picked it up since Christmas. Reminds me an awful lot of the old floor pad the original NES used for track and field games. Thankfully it's less of a gimmick than the power glove Wink

I'd love to see the ring expanded to control other games, though. Mario Bus Driver? There's a lot of potential there.

Same for me too. I picked one up a couple of summers ago when they were sold out everywhere and I think I might have around 3 hours total into it and then I stopped. I keep telling myself to pick it up (or at least sell it) but I've been too lazy so it just sits in a corner of my house. Both kids tried it too for a few hours and never went back to it either.

I think one of the big things for me is that the pacing is WAY too slow. I want to get in a quick fun workout/game but it takes like 45 mins just to make a small amount of progress in the game due to it constantly dragging it out.

If you have switch and you don't have this game you should be ashamed. It is must have and great ornament next to your switch.

I'm only two weeks into having this game so maybe it'll lose its luster, but I love it so far. I bought one for my sister and nephew too. Part of the fun is competing with people you know to see who can get better times and scores. I really like the rhythm game too.

It is not going to give you a comprehensive workout due to the nature of the gameplay, but, I would say that a 45 minute session at a tough difficulty level is going to give most people a good aerobic workout. I think it's better than my normal at home routine.

I know my personality and the kinds of things that motivate me, I thought this would be a motivator and it is, at least so far.

Like most things in life, this is what you make of it.

Is it a complete and equivalent substitute for going to the gym or a personal trainer? Absolutely not.

However, it is def a decent at-home workout that has a variety of different exercises. I would recommend it, especially if you avoid going to public gyms due to covid.

The story is a joke and not memorable. The exercises will def get your heart rate up and is a good start for those who are getting into fitness or maybe just want to maintain. Def much better then the wii fitness board that came out years ago.

Im hoping they release a DLC with a more engaging story & more exercies/activities.

This is black friday price. I got it for the wife for xmas and we both enjoy it. It's not a gym substitute so if you're a gym freak, this will seem lame. But for regular couch potatoes, will make you break a sweat. Worth it for the price compared to a gym membership that you may or may not use.

I paid $80 for this. It's fun, but the pace is too slow. There are too many game elements that will drop your heart rate while you wait for them to complete.

If you get it. know that the pacing is kind of slow.

There are a few modes with the game, and the main "game" mode definitely has dialog and other elements that can interrupt a good workout.

However there are other more pure exercise modes that seem to be designed for just using the Ring + software as a means to work out. I'm still making my way through the game before I try those, but it seems like they could be a solution to some of the gripes above.

Curious if others have tried those yet.

Just bought it before new year on Amazon. Is it workable if I place a new order and return it as the older order (with new sealed item)?
