Walmart has 40V 20" Brushless Lawn Mower w/ 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger for $249 - down from $349.

I don't have a lot of experience with lawn mowers but I bought the 16" version of this brand for $220 earlier and I've been happy with its performance for my small yard, so this one seems like a decent deal to me and I may return the 16" one -- if it's not a good deal feel free to educate me as I'm learning

I bought this one the last time it was $250. Works great on my small lawn. You will get up to the 30mins runtime as advertised but it will start to slow down maybe 2/3-3/4 of the way through.

Bought mine for $225 on an Amazon deal 5 years ago. I don't mow much as my grass is slow going, but I like this way more then my gas mower. This one is also very quiet compared to the corded electric mowers we had growing up.

I have this one and still running after 4 years, but it's not all that great now. But gas mower would still be as bad after 4 years. Battery problem is another major issue.i have one third of an acre lawn to mow in my yard. I think it is pretty good. My neighbor with ego mower is having the same problem. I bought 3 aftermarket batteries, they all die within 4 months. One of the two original ones I have are still kicking. Make your own decisions.

No, the Ryobi is a larger form factor, and the battery terminals are different.

Any proof of those claims?

Was reading through the reviews on grenworks site. Says up to 50 minutes run time but average run time is 30 mins (based on Q&A and reviews). I take 45 mins to mow my lawn and my ego gives me about 30% battery left over

Yea I would say this would only be good for small lawns with grass kept short. Unless you want to purchase more batteries.

I'm ok with the gas mower. Only cost me few gallons of gas for the whole year cutting grass. I've been using the same one for 13 years. The running time of the battery version will keep going down. You may save money because you keep charging the battery but you have to spend money buying new battery.

I have bigger yard. 30 min running time won't be enough for just the front yard.

I'm just curious how a gas one would "be as bad" after 4 years? I have a gas mower I've had for 14 years and still running strong (Craftsman). The one before that I had for 20 years (Snapper).

Like I said it is still running, I just wish things are smoother. 14 years is something spectacular though, maybe boring by that time.
