Weird, I have the opposite experience. I have 4 credit cards (including WF). My AmEx limit is more than 8x what the other 3 are combined. They keep raising my AmEx limit without even asking. It's literally almost what my annual income is, and I have no idea why you'd even want a limit that high on a credit card.

I pay my cards in full every month. That being said, at any given time I have about $15k on my cards. So to maintain a good credit utilization (under 10%) you need to have 10x your typical monthly spend. Which is why you want cards with limits that high.

How did you use the credit card to pay for the car?

What's to stop you from buying a car with a credit card? I almost always use a card for a down payment. Granted it's only like $5k. But what's to stop you from paying for the whole thing?

It's only 21 months if you don't make miss or make a late payment.

Incredible, you spend $15,000 a month. What kind of business do you have?

Do you think this card is the better deal right now considering there are bonuses for other cards that also offer 0% apr sometimes?

The Autograph card is 3% BT fee. Unfortunately, Reflect is 5%. I went through a rigmarole with Wells Fargo on the phone yesterday. I got approved for 18k on the Reflect and went for the Autograph but got declined. Reason cited was I had recently applied.

WF rep. recommended manual underwriting then a product switch if I didn't get approved. Welp...I requested manual underwriting but still got declined (heard back the same day). I called the next day for the product switch and they then said that the Reflect and Autograph cannot be switched but WF Active Cash card could. I already have that card and am well past the promo period so that doesn't help.

Writing this to give you guys some insight. Hope it helps.

TLDR: if you want the new card for BT, apply for the Autopgraph FIRST.

What should be my score. I had applied twice in the past and rejected both times with wells. One of them when I've a mortgage/checking account too with them. Tried calling for reconsideration and rejected.

My score was around 780+. It has since tanked to about 675 since I did 6 or 7 0% BTs to offset the high HELOC interest rates and maxed those new credit lines. This was about 8 months ago. Plan is to pay off the BT's with the HELOC once FEDs have lowered rates enough. Such is the game of managing debt and poor past buying decisions😔 No thanks to SD for me not wanting to miss a good deal 😂 I now payoff my balances each month but still reeling with years of poor money management. There is that light but still a ways to go.

In my experience with the BT's, Wells Fargo was by far the WORST in terms of overall process. I had to go to the branch 4 times because their system was frustratingly glitchy. 2nd worst was Citi.

On the other hand, CapitalOne QuickSilver was insanely smooth (see attachment). Got approved for 30k > created the account > initiated BT online for 28k > transfer was complete the next day. I couldn't believe it...

0% intro APR for 21 months is definitely the selling point! Jumped on this offer!

Easy approval process, moving $5k leftover from a HD account that is nearing its 12 month 0% APR. Just in time. WF got me approved for $15k.

Did anyone who got approved, is there an option to get money to you checking account instead of just balance transfer? Some cards offer that option

With 780 score and having an excellent track record with a car loan with them, I did not get approved! This sucks because they also pulled 2 hard inqueries that will stay on my report for 2 more years!

I would stay cautious with WF and don't apply unless you know you will get it.

21 months are tempting but they are picky it looks like and want to choose people who they can make money on with interests at the end of the term.
