It doesn't have 5% saving. Does it?
Considering you can put that 100k in treasury bills andget an easy 1k in 3 months, It makes no sense to do this and makes me think all the people who talk about preferred rewards are bots
Edit: The card and the deal itself are fine, but preferred rewards definitely isn't some financial goal to strive for...
Lol. You don't put 100k in saving, you put it in roth ira or stocks. That counts as well
I can let that money sit in Bank of America to get "preferred awards status", which after three months gives me an additional 2.25% cashback on purchases in a single category (say online stores like amazon) which assumes I know what category a purchase will be applied to (I don't).
OR I can put that 100k in treasury bills that return 5% non-competitively over 13 weeks... who the hell would pick first option???
Edit: I have nothing against this card or this deal, but definitely don't go into this card for preferred rewards...
You can do the same treasury through Merrill and have the best of both worlds. Personally I've parked the money in tttxx and preferred deposit both giving >5%
Yes there was, I got diamond end of 2021 when it was introduced-over 2 years ago

For using abroad, the BoA Travel Rewards is decent. 1.5% back in points that can be applied to travel/restaurant purchases, no annual fee, no foreign transaction fee!
That's why you apply to multiple or as many as you want to all on the same day and get dinged 1 hard inquiry.
Does it work that way? I know multiple credit checks in a short time make you look more risky, and credit karma, experian, and the like always seem to know what bank made the inquiry.
I'm not doing much with my credit anyway, just regular cash back on all purchases and the introduction bonuses when I can get them🤷 ♂️

On Jan 2nd I applied for a Amex, Capital One, and BofA card. Was approved for all 3. So far only 1 Hard inquiry has hit and it was the 3rd card I applied for. My credit score went up not down.
