What?

Had like 15k ratings when I looked. Sur LA Table has been around for 50 years and has close to 60 retail locations in the US. Definitely nothing to worry about buying from them as a vendor.

The price posted though is a ship/sold from Amazon price when I checked just now.
this is a top of the line toaster oven. I barely use my main oven anymore. This is more efficient and faster and just easier. I think I paid $399 for it and I am moving to Spain and so want to buy one there too.

Looks like a nice oven just make sure you have a dedicated kitchen circuit for it (preferably 20 amps)... it's what the manual request because it's 1800 Watts and can be used for extended periods.

This vendor (sur la table) looks new and has a Fakespot caution on it. Lots of unhappy customers.

Been looking to get an air fryer, could anyone help me understand why this one is so good compared to others? To justify the price point. Want to understand/know what to look for. Thanks!

This was my splurge purchase during covid as I wanted to learn how to cook on my own. It's a jack of all trades, and a master as a toaster, convection oven, and oven. I've never used a conventional air fryer with the pull out pan but I imagine that might be easier in many applications, as the crumbs and oil can drop down on the coils on the Breville and not always the best results. When I think about it, besides for something like a Thanksgiving turkey, I have no use for my conventional oven that couldn't've been done easier and faster in the Breville.

If you're looking for an airfyer, absolutely do not buy this. It has an airfry function, but it doesn't perform nearly as well as a dedicated airfyer. As others have said, this is great for what it is, a countertop oven- I've had this for several years and have never turned on my gas oven. I would say I used it almost everyday... until I got a dedicated airfyer that I use for almost everything.

I love toaster ovens. They're super convenient and work to reheat stuff like pizza that a slice toaster can't do.

Over the years I went through a few brands (Oster caught on fire) and none of them lasted a long time.

I have an older Breville I paid $200 for and it's lasted 10 years and I've abused it. I use it regularly and it still cooks great. I'm looking to replace it with this or the Joule version to have dehydrate and air fry modes. I'll use those functions to make it worth it.

Can you get away with something smaller or less expensive? Absolutely. Depends on your use case.

I like the Breville brand because it performs really well and is reliable. Part of that high cost is the build quality and accuracy. Some of it is brand name though too. Lower cost brands exist, you can read reviews and see what else is out there.

I like having some with advanced features but still sporting a simple toast button. I had the Ninja combi oven and it could do cool stuff but was pretty shit at making toast.

I got this about two years ago and I exclusively use this over my regular oven. It's not just an air fryer, it's a literal mini oven. It can handle cakes, cookies, lasagna, ribs, whole chicken, fish, fries, toast, fries, pizza, etc. Anything that you bake/toast/fry/dehydrate/airfry/proof (for dough) you can use this for.

In terms of appliance I use most around the house, this ties with the fridge and might rank higher than the stove.

I used to have a stand alone air fryer, it was a bucket type and I could only reheat or heat up frozen foods.

I got this about 3 years ago and it's been some of the best money I have ever spent. I can cook pretty much anything in it unless I am making a very large portion that requires a full size oven. I almost never use my microwave or regular oven anymore.

I am a pretty avid home cook and this thing kicks all the ass. If you are on the fence just buy it.
