Citi® is offering the following: Earn $200 cash back after spending $1,500 on purchases in the first 6 months of account opening with the Citi Double Cash® Card.

Special Travel Offer: Earn 5% total cash back on hotel, car rentals and attractions booked on the Citi Travel℠ portal through 12/31/25.

Card Details:
  • Earn $200 cash back after you spend $1,500 on purchases in the first 6 months of account opening. This bonus offer will be fulfilled as 20,000 ThankYou® Points, which can be redeemed for $200 cash back.
  • Earn 2% on every purchase with unlimited 1% cash back when you buy, plus an additional 1% as you pay for those purchases. To earn cash back, pay at least the minimum due on time. Plus, a special travel offer, earn 5% total cash back on hotel, car rentals and attractions booked on the Citi Travel℠ portal through 12/31/25.
  • Balance Transfer Only Offer: 0% intro APR on Balance Transfers for 18 months. After that, the variable APR will be 18.24% - 28.24%, based on your creditworthiness.
  • Balance Transfers do not earn cash back. Intro APR does not apply to purchases.
  • If you transfer a balance, interest will be charged on your purchases unless you pay your entire balance (including balance transfers) by the due date each month.
  • There is an intro balance transfer fee of 3% of each transfer (minimum $5) completed within the first 4 months of account opening. After that, your fee will be 5% of each transfer (minimum $5).

The annoying thing about the card is Walmart will try to steal your points when checking out. They don't give you a penny a point and ask you to use your points every swipe.

Citi had my back on a Dell purchase. Mastercard blocked the transaction then had me buy it again and unlocked the card for the purchase. I ended up with two things. Dell took a very long time to issue the RMA, but Citibank went ahead and gave me a credit equaling the purchase until the items were returned.

Amazon does this too. The way I fixed it was by always using all my points as a statement credit.

Same, I signed up, spent the $1500 (many times over) and never received my $200. Gonna have to call and fight with them to get it. SHouldn't be hard for them to honor the terms automatically.

Yeah I use this card for my every day purchases, and my chase amazon visa card for things that need an extended warranty or for travel.

You can get that from most cards, except this card took away all the other benefits like price match, or rental coverage, travel losses, etc, the card became pretty useless to me unless you use the temporary citi card generated card number a lot.

Just jumping on this. This happened to me and because it was so low I missed out on spending the $1500 in 6 months because the card was essentially always maxed out so I couldn't hit the spending amount. I would have had to either hit exactly $500/month or pay it off early to open up some space (which I didn't think of). So I missed out on the $200 and burned a 5/24 slot. The kicker here is that I am already a Citi customer with the Premier Card with $11K limit. This card has ended up being worse than useless to me, I'll be cancelling it.

Eh.

Wells Fargo cash card offer is still active. I've had it for over a year now (off the deal posted here a while back). It's $200 cashback with ONLY $500 of spending limit.

Also, its 2% instant cashbank for EVERY purchase. I use it for bigger purchases, then pay it off before the 1st bill and then enjoy the cashback to buy other stuff.
