This is a great deal for someone that wants it now if the device is clean and doesn't show signs of use.

I get theres more market saturation with handhelds but I'm torn between being cheap and justifying more toys. How much lower can it get within release year? lol

I say there will be a huge fall off in price around late January because people would have exhausted their gift cards and holiday shopping budget. Lots of people will not have money to spend after the holidays and demand for consumer products just drop dead around that time. If there are plenty of returns, then it would be easy to pick one up open box. Of course, that also means the product isn't great if it has so many returns

They wouldn't because they want to maximize efficiency in battery life. Imagine having less battery life having the Z1 processor. The OLED screen helps with the battery life too. I would think they're reserving a newer processor for Deck 2 while adjusting it for clocks for better efficiency in power. I personally want a device to maximize performance so either the Ally or Legion Go work for me (I play Genshin Impact on Windows with my Deck) and I normally am connected on power so the portability isn't something I really need. But I totally understand why Valve pushes for efficiency. It worked for Nintendo with their handheld hybrid and it's still selling well.
