lets check the clamping voltage

when a surge protector is not transparent and list its clamping voltage upfront and easy to find that is a sign that it has a very high clamping voltage 500-800 volts.

normal camping voltage is 300-500 (or less).

the lower the better!

One Q&A and reviewer on Amazon says a CS rep said it is 1200v, which seems kind of ridiculous.. And I noticed Anker answered at least one other question, but not that one.

why would they answer and draw attention of specs that make them look bad. that's typical Anker...slick marketing, avg specs, ton of fanbois.

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to find one with a good clamping voltage, are you able to link/reccomend one?

I ordered this last week and received it over the weekend. Currently using it on my computer and charging my phone and other USB devices on the surge protector. So far no issues.

I have a desktop, 2 monitors, 1 printer and a laptop connected to the surge protector. 2 phones connected to the surge protector USB ports.

Will report back if something goes wrong. Smilie

Instead it seems that they have paid for TÜV EU testing. https://www.tuv.com/usa/en/ctuvus...as%20US%20 European standards. Ordered one anyway. Thanks OP!
