If you're considering this to protect electronics, you might want to consider other options from Belkin [amazon.com] or Tripplite as this Anker model failed to offer protection in WireCutter's testing [nytimes.com].

"The Anker 351 Power Strip [nytimes.com] performed dreadfully in our testing, offering no surge protection whatsoever."
But they are TUV listed which is a European safety testing org.
It was certified to UL standards.

I bought this in white for "$23.99" as there was a $4 coupon on 6/9. White is...white. Almost matches my white Sonos speakers exactly.

Looks like Black has been this price a few times. Would I recommend this? Yes, I would....assuming you need a power strip in your life Smilie

I've seen concerns with these Anker power strips/surge protectors that they aren't UL approved and should be avoided. This has been discussed in prior posts, but just wanted to give others an FYI on these before you buy.

Sam's club sells a member's mark ul certified 2 pack for $30, but I will admit they feel cheap as hell. However, if you follow the general lifespan theory of 5 years on surge protectors then it makes a bit more sense to save the money. I'm sure this anker feels/looks much better though.

Surge protection looks like it's covered under UL 1449, which I don't see listed in the certificate.

I'm not an expert by any means, but it looks like could just be certified as a power strip. It has surge protection based on the description, but that function may not have been certified. I can't vouch for the surge protection, but it should be safe to use as a power strip, which is much more than I can say with the majority of crap sold on Amazon these days.

I bought one awhile ago and haven't used it yet. All I can say is it feels cheap and lightweight compare to my other surge protector. There is no telling if the UL rating is real or not either.

As I recall, the older version of this with all type-A ports had a 10ft cord version

Guessing that it wasn't popular
